These selection black and white photographs were made in Claremont Park in the Bronx in 2019. I wanted to focus on how the community used the park as a place to rest, celebrate, and love, by emphasizing moments of connection and reverie.

My process involved making collaborative portraits with the sitters and bringing back prints for them later in the week, which allowed them to reflect on and appreciate the moments as well. The work culminated in a site specific projection, "Claremont Illuminated" which showcased work from different photographers in an dimly-lit  stairwell in the neighborhood.

This work was made as part of a fellowship with The Bronx Documentary Center
